The Law of Attraction (LOA) is not the only law for manifestations! Of all the 7 hermetic principles, I thought of expanding a little bit on the principle of polarity because it has a direct connection with Manifestation. Unlike what I used to think about the law of attraction – you attract what you are the vibration of, the principle of polarity upturns this idea. Honestly ‘attracting what I am the vibration of’ has caused me great pain because I have had many narcissists attracted to my reality all my life. And it made me wonder why I am manifesting them.

Upon channeling Green Tara and Yeshua on this topic, it was revealed that it was my purpose to eliminate ‘pride & delusions’ in the world in my lifetime. And that it’s not just me but many people who have had this experience. It’s because there are that many narcissists in the world, especially in spirituality. And I attract them because I am an empath and in meeting them I am fulfilling my soul contract of guiding them out of their sky-high ‘pride’ and ultra-mega ‘delusions’.

So that made me question, if I am not the same vibration as them, then how am I attracting them? Isn’t that how LOA is supposed to work? This is where I was introduced to the 7 hermetic principles and the 4th principle of polarity plays a role here. Let’s understand this principle in depth.

love & fear

Let’s take an example of love & fear to explain the principle of polarity. Most people think that the opposite of fear is courage. Technically they are correct, but principally the opposite of fear is love. Because both love and fear come from the same thing – love. I came across this concept for the first time in one of the books from the ‘Conversations with God‘ series by Neal Donald Walsch. It was mind-blowing and it explained why people behave in a controlling way. That is because they are actually afraid of losing their love or trying to protect their loved one from getting hurt. Fear is nothing but ‘conditional’ love. The only reason unconditional love becomes fear is when it is conditioned and controlled.

Let’s understand one end of the duality first – love. True love is unconditional, meaning there are no conditions placed on it. The only example of unconditional love I can give is from God. The entire book 1 of Conversations with God explains this – God doesn’t interfere with whatever anyone wants to do because that would obstruct free will. Since God’s love is unconditional, you are allowed to do anything and will still be loved. Which massively took a jab against all religious texts that scare you with karma and ‘hell’ and whatnot if you don’t ‘behave’ well. I would highly recommend reading the book because it is absolutely amazing!

So if God’s love is unconditional, then what do we experience? We experience conditional love from other humans – because humans are not infinite & eternal like God. Humans have boundaries to preserve their physical lives. And when you violate boundaries, you get punished or abandoned.

The concept of boundaries is important to understand as what ‘preserves’ a life. A lack of boundaries can harm life. Anything that can harm us is prevented or avoided by us, thus setting our boundaries. Boundaries are essential conditions, and they are what we place on ourselves and others so that we are ‘safe’. So basically boundaries originate from a fear of death/harm. Hence any love that has conditions is also fear-based.

Example: as a parent, if you love your child you will try to prevent the child from touching fire. Why? Because you do not want the child to get hurt. So that is an example of fear-based love which puts a boundary on the child’s freedom for its safety. Thus thwarting the child’s free will. If the child disobeys you, you may scare it with punishment. Thus demonstrating conditional love – you are putting conditions on your love. But why are you putting the condition – because at the core you really love the child and do not want it to suffer. So fear is truly an expression of love, but controlled.

So how much fear you have defines which end of the polarity of love you are in the first diagram (or maybe somewhere in between). Think of any other examples of fear. If you are afraid of speaking truthful statements, maybe you are afraid of hurting the other person. Which is basically again love for the other person – you care enough to not hurt them. Or if you become defensive & lie, you fear judgment or consequences. This basically translates that you really love your life (or whatever you are trying to protect like your reputation, freedom, etc) and hence do not want to endanger it. This is also love expressed as fear – to protect what is dear to you. So as you can see love and fear are the opposite sides of the same coin, similarly, everything has its opposites. Hot & cold are different degrees of heat. High & low are the degrees of undulation or curvature of something. Same with East & West, Light & Dark, Masculine & Feminine, etc. Duality is the nature of reality.

So if LOA is not the only thing, how do I attract the opposites in my life?

As per Archangel Michael – Manifestation is a process through which reality is created, reflecting both ‘what you are’ and ‘what you are NOT’. It involves a dynamic interplay of duality, where opposites help define each other through contrast. Just like when a paintbrush sees a canvas and knows it is not a canvas. And a canvas knows it is not a paintbrush. But upon seeing each they discover who they are NOT. But both were once created from the same thing. And both are each other’s dual opposites, one is useless without the other. This process involves cycles of remembering and forgetting oneself, or coming together and separating from one’s dual, as a way to explore self-awareness.

True manifestation goes beyond the oversimplified “law of attraction” idea of matching vibrations to desires. While aligning with vibration can create a desired reality, you may also unconsciously manifest the opposite of what you are. This occurs to reveal aspects of yourself that remain undiscovered, allowing for deeper self-understanding.

Self-awareness is foundational to manifestation. By understanding your higher self and its role in shaping reality, you shift from being a “victim” of circumstances to a conscious creator of your experiences. Manifestation ultimately serves as a tool for self-discovery, helping you understand and express your true nature through all aspects of existence, including those that seem contrary to your desires.
